  • When SCN set out to support individuals establishing themselves in a new country—many with limited English proficiency and minimal income faced challenges—Whys Woman stepped in to design an inclusive, comprehensive class that would stand apart from existing programs, delivering practical solutions that complements their skills and mindset.

  • Our research revealed that immigrants were weary of flashy, impersonal solutions; they sought practical, intimate support that could lead to real change. We developed a “Resume Writing” class focused on helping clients craft their personal brand, providing essential skills to advance their careers in a way that complemented rather than overwhelmed. By leveraging their work histories and guiding them to career opportunities aligned with their expertise, we ensured each participant could see a clear path forward.

  • Through a credible, consistent curriculum and engaging learning experience, our program empowered SCN clients with confidence and clarity in their job search. Our work demonstrated to the Chicago market that simplicity can be powerful—proving a well-crafted, straightforward resume can open doors.
