Abuse of Power
Every day, abuse seeks power,
Hidden in the office tower;
Some detect it in the hour,
Others cower, unaware of sour.
Abuse extends beyond love’s bower,
Manipulation’s stealthy bauer;
Boundaries twisted, meant to lower,
Control disguised as subtle bummer.
Verbal strikes, a toxic shower,
Gossip spreading, stories dour;
Gaslighting dims the brightest flower,
Hard to see, it makes hearts cower.
From spouses close to bosses’ power,
Abuse can bloom or over-power;
Training minds is how we empower,
Workshops held each timely hour.
Education seeds can harness scour,
Breaking cycles, raising flour;
Bystanders brave might encounter,
But together we reclaim our superpower.
