Direct Letter

Dear leader who is reading this letter,

Its for you and those who strive for being better,

Here is a list of “just because, doesn’t mean” breaking my path to something greater:

Just because I am smart, doesn’t mean I am a getter.
Just because I am single, doesn’t mean I accept an affair with a married fella.
Just because I am a muslim, doesn’t mean I am a vetter.
Just because I don’t fight, doesn’t mean I lost the battle.
Just because I’m a Ghazzawi, doesn’t mean I am from Gaza’s ancestor.
Just because I’m not Republican, doesn’t mean I’m a democratic or liberator.

And for the ones who are not leaders, I apologize in advance for you reading this letter, however I am not that special. This can happen to you too, it is a reminder.

As none of us is immune forever—
Truths may splinter, causing a twist to a render;

Stormying weather—
Locking knit all so together.

But one thing moving into a heather,
An outsider, feel connected to an insider.

Whys Woman,
Louder
